Committee meeting highlights

14th September 2018

Treasurer – summary of accounts provided, no queries raised.

Membership Secretary – membership is at 130, after one recent leaver. It seems that numbers for the workshop have fallen, we discussed why this might be.

Concert Manager – 2018 upcoming concerts were discussed and fine tuned. 2019 concerts are coming together, we have several booked and confirmed and a couple that are still being worked on. We are arranging a ‘get together’ to carry on the plans for the 2019 tour.

Trustees update – the Trustees also meet regularly, although not monthly. The choir is purchasing a card reader as cash is not always suitable for ticket sales. The price of programmes was discussed. We will look at gathering and selling the old gold jackets, if we raise any funds from this, we may possibly purchase another item of uniform for all the choir members.

14th August 2018

Concert Manager – there is much to organise for the Nepalese concert, 29 September, and the Remembrance concert on the 10 November, all is in hand. Everything is booked for the Christmas concert.  2019 concert update given, plans are coming together.

Treasurer – no queries on the account summary provided.

Membership Secretary – membership analysis was issued, it was noted that there are quite a few members who do not attend regularly.  Summer understandably is especially bad for this.

Website – we were pleased that there have not been any queries over the new passwords.

Defibrillator training – we have three members taking part in the training.

14th July 2018

Treasurer, membership secretary and concert manager always provide updates:

Treasurer – financial statement for month ending 30 June 2018 distributed and agreed.

Membership secretary – membership stands at 132. We have had one leaver and two new members.

Concert manager – 2018 concert summary included two extra concerts – 13 October, we have been invited to sing at Leigh Wesley Methodist at a Salvation Army concert of celebration and remembrance and on the 2 December we have been invited to sing with Da Capo.  The 7 October concert is no longer happening.  The 2019 concert calendar is in the initial planning stage – watch this space!

The Christmas concert is on the 15th December 2018 and it was decided to have a rehearsal break for the following three weeks, returning to rehearsal on Tuesday 8th January 2019.
