AGM July 2019: Chairman’s Report
Chairman’s report for year ending April 2019
What a great year it’s been.
I took on the role of Chairman half way through the choir’s 10th anniversary year, a year packed with concerts, celebrations and fund raising. The first half of 2019 has been just as fun filled and enjoyable.
During the year we raised over £5,100 for charity, that’s an incredible achievement which we should all be proud of.
There is so much hard work that goes on behind the scenes, rehearsals, concerts, tours, all take an extraordinary amount of planning. It’s thanks to our committee and music team that everything we do is done to such a high standard. We could not achieve the things we do without these people. My gratitude and thanks go to each and every one:
Pat Allen, Marion Orchard, Kathie Curtis, Mo Harding, Linda Martin, Chris Welbourn, Margaret Gabe, Marilyn Jasper, Carole Dayer, Lorna Leslie, Sue Latchford, David Clark, Melody Wallace and Janet Walker.
My thanks also go to our Front of House team, Jan Fraser who looks after our wardrobe, Kathie Curtis who took on the additional role of librarian and to Tanya Sanderson and Moira Al Shaar who have launched us onto social media platforms.
Of course, none of this would be possible without our members, thank you all so much for your support, hard work and friendship.
I look forward to another successful and enjoyable year for the choir.
