Elizabeth studied singing with Neil Mackie and piano with Yonty Solomon at the Royal College of Music. Whilst a student she won the Freda Parry Scholarship in her home borough of Southend-on-Sea, recorded 20th Century choral works as soloist with the Ionian Singers and performed at the Proms with the London Handel Choir. Elizabeth graduated with performing and teaching diplomas and was then accepted as a pupil of the Italian Soprano Graziella Sciutti. Elizabeth is an experienced soloist, having performed in oratorio and as a concert recitalist. Following 16 years of teaching singing privately, she is now a full-time teacher and music subject leader at Hamstel Junior School where she also conducts the school choir. She is married with three children and enjoys performing with her family.
