The Orpheus Singers, The new South East Essex Ladies Choir
Member of the National Association of Choirs
Welcome to
The Orpheus Singers

Our ladies’ choir was founded in Hadleigh Essex in 2008 and has entertained audiences throughout Essex and beyond. Under the professional expertise of Musical Director David Clark the choir’s repertoire encompasses an eclectic mix of styles from ‘Ave Maria’ to ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and everything in between! Through the many concerts held, the choir has been able to support a wide range of local, national and international charities.

Our ‘Sing Together’ project earlier this year united an enthusiastic new group of ladies keen to find their singing voices. Having rehearsed for three months the new group then amalgamated with the established Orpheus Singers in a Charity Concert on the 23rd April.
We are delighted to say £4086.47 was raised at this concert for Southend Hospital’s Keyhole Cancer Appeal. Our grateful thanks to all our many friends and supporters!

Remembrance 2014"
What a wonderful, moving, uplifting event.
What a tribute to those gone before or still yet surviviing those distant war years.

All so inspirational, so appreciated.”
